Use of pubs and restaurants as food takeaways during the coronavirus outbreak

On the 24 March 2020 the Government relaxed planning regulations to allow for public houses and restaurants to temporarily operate as food takeaways to serve people having to stay at home without need to apply for planning permission. Takeaway food must either be collected by, or delivered to, customers, not consumed on the premises.

Under the changes to regulations pubs and restaurants wishing to use their premises as food takeaways must notify their Local Planning Authority in writing. The link below enables you to check whether New Forest District Council is the relevant Local Planning Authority to notify for your establishment.
